On the moorland of Tatabánya we designed an aspen grove, where the inner core of the houses is completed for those moving here to build their home themselves afterwards. The settlement overwrites not only energetic but social conventions, as well. According to our statement the building type corressponding to this lately arisen need derives from the single-family home. At first the living area gains a new function of a working area, secondly it becomes inevitable for isolated people spending their whole day at home to make a community and live together. The demand for different space use determines the structure and energy management of the house. Materials with high thermal capacity, lightweight structures heating up fast, natural shading and ventillation systems guarantee the economical maintenance of the house.
